These terms govern your use of the Jaya app and website (“Jaya”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Jaya provides spoken-English lessons for Telugu speakers through an AI teacher: daily guided voice lessons, spoken practice tests, revision milestones, and free-conversation practice. It is an educational service. We do not award certificates, degrees, or guarantee any examination result, job outcome, or level of fluency.
Your account
- Accounts are created with your mobile number and a one-time SMS code. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who receives the code can sign in.
- One account is for one person. Please do not share or resell access.
- You must be 18 or older to purchase a subscription. Younger learners may use the app under a parent or guardian's account.
Subscriptions and payment
- Paid plans are ₹299 per month or ₹1,999 per year, in Indian Rupees, inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Payments are handled by our payment partner. We do not receive or store your full card or bank credentials.
- Prices may change in future. Any change applies only from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
- Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable use
Please use Jaya for learning. Do not attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the service, use it to break any law, or copy and redistribute the lesson content. We may suspend an account that does.
Content and ownership
Lessons, curriculum, audio, artwork, and software remain ours. You may use them for your own learning. What you say to the teacher stays yours; how it is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability
We aim to keep Jaya running at all times, but the service depends on internet connectivity and third-party providers, and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. Lessons need a working internet connection and a microphone.
Limitation of liability
Jaya is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
